2015 Show Week Denver

Dear Colorado Dealer:

The Denver Auto Show (DAS) and the associated events, the Innovative Dealer Summit (IDS) and the Charity Preview Party (CPP) are the most important trio of events to CADA and to us, the members. The DAS provides the majority of the financial resources our association requires to operate at the level it does. The IDS is an excellent, in-state, day-and-a-half training event for us and our employees for a very low overall cost. The CPP is an outstanding way for us to gain exposure and give back to our communities.

All of this is happening in less than three weeks. If you haven’t already made plans to attend, this is your notice to sign up and get them on your calendar!

  • 114th Denver Auto Show – April 8-12, Colorado Convention Center
  • The Innovative Dealer Summit – April 7-8, Colorado Convention Center
  • 7th Annual Charity Preview Party, “Rocky Mountain Riviera” – April 7, Colorado Convention Center

The 114th Denver Auto Show (April 8-12) – the largest exhibit of automotive power, performance and style between Chicago and Los Angeles. We have commitments from 36 manufacturers, plus accessory and aftermarket vendors, to exhibit at the show. This is our chance to shine and let the cars be the stars. The consumers get their once-a-year chance to compare all our makes and models back-to-back (even take some on a test-drive), ask questions and have a chance to compare what they want in a vehicle to what’s available. And it’s all under one roof! Last year’s show was the fourth largest in history and we’re hoping for a record-breaker this year. This year’s Denver Auto Show Chair is Gregg Stone of Kuni Lexus of Greenwood Village. Hats off to Gregg and his team for all of their hard work putting this together.

The 6th Annual Innovative Dealer Summit (Tuesday, April 7, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m.; and Wednesday, April 8, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.) – the must-attend educational and informational event for Colorado’s 21st century dealers. Tim Jackson and the CADA staff have put together an amazing program. This year’s IDS features 36 presenters who will provide the most cutting-edge takes on everything from digital marketing, mobile applications and social media to customer and employee relations and retention, critical knowledge about legal issues, and more…what you need to know to improve your bottom line.

The 1 ½-day IDS is for Dealer principals/owners, general managers, senior dealership managers & directors, sales leadership, Internet sales managers, business development managers, F&I directors, fixed-op directors, key dealership leaders, advertising and marketing consultants, controllers, and other key decision makers in your dealership.

Our keynote speaker will be Lt. Col. (ret.) Rob “Waldo” Waldman, best-selling author. In “NEVER FLY SOLO! ® Lead with Courage, Build Trusting Partnerships, and Reach New Heights in Business,” he will explain how to “prepare diligently for every mission; employ loyal wingmen to promote integrity and mutual support; and lead your team with courage, compassion and conviction. Be inspired to take to the skies knowing that you have wingmen to help you face challenges and change with confidence while maximizing your potential in all aspects of your life.”

Registration for IDS also includes a complimentary ticket to one of the Rocky Mountain region’s best social events, the Charity Preview Party. All this with minimal travel and time out of your dealership

The 7th Annual Charity Preview Party: “Rocky Mountain Riviera” presented by UMB Bank (April 7, 7-10 p.m.) – one of the Rocky Mountain region’s premier fundraising events benefiting the Denver Post Foundation, National Jewish Health and the Clear the Air Foundation. More than 1,300 people attended last year – a record – and we’re hoping to improve on that this year with outstanding food and drink entertainment and Monte Carlo-style casino gambling.

This year’s VIP Chair is T.J. Ward of The Denver Broncos. The Honorary Chairs include National Jewish Health’s Chief Medical Information Officer Dr. David Beuther, Denver Post President and CEO Mac Tully, and Mike Cimino, owner of Phil Long Dealerships and chair of the CADA-supported Clear the Air Foundation.
